FC Rostov, for which Moldovan halfback Alexandru Gatcan is playing, has qualified for the final of Russia’s Cup. In the semifinal, Rostov beat Luci-Energia 3-1, with Gatcan scoring the first goal, IPN reports.
The 30-year-old player also obtained a penalty for his team in this match. Gatcan last year was named the best Moldovan footballer. “It’s cool when you qualify for Russia’s Cup after playing a match before the own fans. Only one step remained – the qualification for Europa League,” Alexandru Gatcan has told IPN.
Rostov on May 8 meets Krasnodar, which eliminated CSKA Moscow in the semifinal. The final will be played at the Anji arena in Makhachkala.
