The section of Alexandru Diordita St between the streets Cosmonautilor and Columna will turn into a pedestrian area from May 1.
According to a communiqué from the Chisinau City Hall, only units of transport that will be involved in refurbishment works in the area will be allowed to park and move on Alexandru Diordita St from April 22, between 7am and 9am, based on permits issued by the General Public Transport and Communication Division.
By May 1, there will be repaired the facades of the buildings and the drainage systems in the area. The trees will be trimmed, while the street will be marked. There will be set up road signs and devices.
The project is aimed at revitalizing the historical center of Chisinau by creating a viable and attractive area and conditions needed for the inhabitants and guests of Chisinau to rest.
