Alexandrin Guțu wins gold at Youth Olympic Games

Greco-Roman wrestler Alexandrin Guțu became youth Olympic champion. In Buenos Aires, the pupil of Roman Zgardan scored three victories in the 71 kg weight class, IPN reports.

Alexandrin Guțu beat Columbia’s Brandon Calle Perez, Lamjed Maafi of Tunis and Russia’s Stepan Starodubstev. Earlier this year he became world champion among cadets.

Swimmer Tatiana Salcuțan also won gold for Moldova at the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games.
