According to the prosecutor in charge of the case Victor Furtună, the judges examined his request to extend the preventive measure in the form of judicial control against Alexandr Stoianoglo for a period of 60 days and accepted to extend it for only 30 days.
He noted he will appeal the decision to the Chisinau Appeals Court during three days.

Last December, prosecutors announced they were ready to arraign Stoianoglo on the abuse of authority charge. In particular, Stoianoglo is accused of authorizing a retirement allowance of 163,900 lei for a prosecutor subjected to a criminal investigation, which is against the law.
