The quality of alcoholic beverages and beer will be checked by the organoleptic method that is based on senses, as provided by the relevant regulations approved by the Government. The testing will be carried out by the Central Tasting Commission that will consist of 21 members selected by contest. The commission’s decisions will be recommendatory in character, IPN reports.
In order to determine the quality of alcoholic products, every taster will receive by a sensorial analysis card where they will note down the aspect (limpidity), color, aroma (bouquet), taste and typical character of the drink. The samples will be assessed on a scale of 0 to 10. Each type of beverage will have to obtain a minimum score.
The open tasting sessions will take place at a common table, were there will be discussed the properties of the analyzed samples. The samples will be accompanied by succinct information about the type of product and the producer.
The producers that will not be satisfied with the commission’s decision will be able to challenge it within five days of the announcement of the results.
