Russian tennis player Andrey Rublev, World No. 8, needed less than an hour to defeat Moldova’s Radu Albot, World No. 90, in the 1/16 of the Paris ATP tournament, by 6-1, 6-2, IPN reports.
Rublev is in a remarkable form. On November 1, he won the fifth tournament this year and is one of the top seeds of the Paris competition.
In the first round, Albot beat in three sets Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz, World No. 33. He reached the main competition even if he lost to Norbert Gombos of Slovakia in the qualifying round. Albot went further because a number of athletes withdrew.
