Radu Albot continues the series of wins at the Challenger tournaments of Asia. The Moldovan tennis player had a good start at the competition in Japan’s Kobe, IPN reports.
Albot eliminated Russia’s Teimuraz Gabashvili, World No. 235. The athlete of Georgian origin withdrew during the second set owing to injury. The score then was 6-1, 3-0 in Albot’s favor.
In the 1/8 finals, the Moldovan tennis player, who is the top seed of the competition and World No. 86, plays Japan’s Yosuke Watanuki, who takes the 355th position in the ATP rankings.
