Moldovan tennis layer Radu Albot continues to achieve remarkable results at tournaments in the United States. He reached the third round of the Indian Wells after beating Italy’s Fabio Fognini, World No. 17, IPN reports.
Albot defeated Fognini, who won the doubles of the 2015 Australian Open, in two sets 6-0, 7-6. In the next round, the 29-year-old player meets the UK’s Kyle Edmund, No. 23 ATP. Radu Albot now takes the 53rd spot in the world rankings.
Serbia’s Novak Djokovic is the top seed at the Indian Wells. The competition also involves Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
