The Civil Aviation Authority has suspended Air Moldova’s air operator license until the end of October, amid concerns about the airline’s ability to operate a functional fleet.

The Authority said in a press release that “the only aircraft still administrated by Air Moldova was slated to undergo maintenance in April and the process hasn’t been completed since”. Meanwhile, the aircraft’s airworthiness certificate expired on August 21.

At the request of the airline, the Civil Aviation Authority has suspended Air Moldova’s license until October 31, 2023.

As the airline has cancelled all of its flights, passengers are encouraged to claim their rights and ask for refunds.

Requests and complaints shall be addressed to the airline first, and in case of an unsatisfactory result, to the Civil Aeronautical Authority. Also, passengers may call the consumer’s number (022)823583 for a free consultation.

Recently, Air Moldova announced it was extending the suspension of all flights until September 14 inclusive. The airline started canceling flights in March. Since May 2, it has suspended all flights and sale of tickets.
