The national flag carrier Air Moldova will offer its passengers meals including apples bought from Moldovan farmers. The decision comes in reaction to the Russian ban on Moldovan fruits, IPN reports.
The airline said in a press release the move aims to support Moldovan producers to market fruits domestically. The apples will be offered to passengers on all Air Moldova flights starting August 18.
Monthly Air Moldova carries some 60,000 passengers to all its destinations.
The airline is calling on all the institutions and entrepreneurs to follow suit and support domestic producers.
