Air Moldova - best airline in CIS

Air Moldova was named the best airline in the Commonwealth of Independent States in 2009. In the rankings of the international airlines, the Moldovan company took the 17th position, outstripping famous European and American companies, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a communique, the company says that the rankings were compiled on the basis of the votes cast by the visitors of a Russian portal. Between August 1, 2007 and December 31, 2009, there had been collected 20,276 opinions concerning 648 airlines. Etihad Airways from the United Arab Emirates topped the rankings of the international airlines. It is followed by Korean Air and Singapore Airlines. Last year, Air Moldova transported 402,000 passengers. The company operates direct flights to 19 destinations, counting Frankfurt, Vienna, Istanbul, Lisbon, Madrid, Bucharest, London, Athens, Larnaca, Rome, Milan, Verona, Paris, Prague, Moscow, Saint Petersbourg.
