The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry proposed the creation of a Board of Veterinarians in Moldova. The institution will supervise the basic aspects of sanitary-veterinary activities and the relationship between veterinarians, including freelancers. A bill in this regard has been published on particip.gov.md and is open for public debate, IPN report.
The Board of Veterinarians will certify veterinarians, will be in charge of professional promotions and will issue attestations of the professional rank.
In developing this bill, the authors have studied legislation from EU member countries. The Board of Veterinarians will be an autonomous non-governmental, non-profit and apolitical professional organization and will include all the veterinarians working in Moldova.
