Agriculture Ministry announces date of fodder auction

The Ministry of Agriculture announced it will hold an auction on November 23 to purchase animal feed to be distributed among stockbreeders affected by this year's drought, after the Government allocated 12 million lei for this purpose, Info-Prim Neo reports. Agriculture Minister Vasile Bumacov told a news conference that priority will be given to fodder for cattle. “Stockbreeders have feed supplies until February. We've told them not to hurry to sell or slaughter their livestock, because we are going to provide them with fodder in the immediate future. We will try our best so that it reaches them until January”, said the Minister. He added that 3,000 tonnes of feed-grade grains will be purchased to support sheep and goat breeders.
