The agricultural companies will be refunded the VAT on investments from subsidies if the money goes to purchase production equipment. The MPs passed a bill to this effect proposed by Democratic lawmaker Valeriu Guma in the first reading, IPN reports.
“Currently, if a company takes out a loan from a bank for equipment, the VAT is refunded to it. But if it makes investments from subsidies, the VAT is not refunded to it. The bill is aimed at improving the legal framework so as to create more favorable conditions for the companies working in agriculture,” said Valeriu Guma.
The bill is to be adopted in the second reading.
