The global agricultural production in the farms of all the categories in January-September rose by 30.2% on the corresponding period last year. The rise is due to an increase of over 52% in the vegetal production. The animal production remained at the same level as last year, IPN reports.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the wheat yield totaled over 995,000 tonnes or two times more than in 2012. The barley harvest was about 212,000 tonnes, 1.8 times larger. The average harvest of the main crops increased, especially of corn.

Decreases in the period were witnessed in the animal-breeding sector, especially the poultry and cattle breeding areas (-0.9%). Egg production grew by 2% owing to the 11% increase in the number of egg laying hens and the 0.6% increase in the productivity of poultry breeding companies. Milk production rose by 1.3%.
