The relations between Moldova and Romania should not be affected by the political changes taking place in one country or the other, Prime Minister Vlad Filat said, referring to the dismissal of the Ungureanu Government. He told the press that he has friendly relations with the new Romanian Premier Victor Ponta and had several phone conversations with him since his appointment, Info-Prim Neo reports. Vlad Filat stressed that the agreements signed with the former Government of Romania remain valid. President Nicolae Timofti, who will pay a visit to Bucharest on May 3, will reiterate the commitment for the agreements signed by the Governments of Romania and Moldova at the beginning of spring. The Romanian executive headed by Mihai Razvan Ungureanu was dismissed by the country’s legislature on April 27. The Ungureanu Government will enter Romania’s history as the executive with the shortest mandate, of less than three months.
