The Government of Moldova accepted the initiation of negotiations on the draft administrative arrangement for implementing the agreement in the area of social security between Moldova and Turkey. The document enables the Moldovans who worked in Turkey and obtained a pension there to transfer it to Moldova, IPN reports.
The administrative arrangement specifies the mechanisms of paying social insurance benefits (pensions and allowances), the institutions responsible for paying these and the documents that need to be completed and submitted for those entitled to get benefits.
Owing to this accord, the recipients will not need to go to the other state to claim pension.
The signing of the agreement and the administrative arrangement will take place within Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s official visit to Chisinau that was scheduled for next February.
