A National Agency for Youth Programs and Activities Development will be created to ensure the implementation of the youth policies and programs worked out by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research. Under a draft Government decision proposed for public debates on particip.gov.md, the entity will ensure the balanced implementation of the policy framework at the local level and more efficient cooperation with the local public authorities, youth organizations, initiative groups and young people, IPN reports.

The Agency will take over a series of responsibilities from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research related to the implementation and coordination of the youth policies and will identify the national programs and public entities with direct or indirect duties in the youth sectors. Among the entity’s tasks will be to methodologically develop programs, to determine the performance indicators and to collect data in the field.

The Agency will be an administrative authority managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research. The Ministry now has no subdivision that would be responsible for the implementation of youth policies. The Agency’s staff will consist of 31 public servants.
