The Alliance for European Integration(AEI) is not troubled by the Communist faction's intention to boycott the work of the legislative body and not attend the sittings from now, Info-Prim Neo reports. The leader of the Liberal-Democratic parliamentary group Mihai Godea, the president of the Democrat Party Marian Lupu and the Liberal MP Valeriu Munteanu said the Opposition has the right not to take part in the Parliament's sittings if it considers it necessary. The Liberal-Democrat MPs expressed their skepticism about the Communists' intention to hold a referendum to give a vote of no confidence to the ruling alliance. The PCRM made its intention public after the AEI on March 9 declared that the early legislative elections will be avoided if the Constitution is adopted by referendum. “I think they got into a panic as the feel they lose ground. But the people cannot be forced to go to elections 2-3 times a year, as the Communists want. We will do as the people want. Over 70% of the voters do not want elections and we will not take into account Voronin's caprices,” said the leader of the Moldova Noastra Alliance (AMN), Deputy Speaker Serafim Urecheanu. Asked how the Parliament will work without the Communist faction, Serafim Urecheanu said the Parliament will do well without the Communists. “There are no problems. We realize they are afraid that if early elections are not held by 2013, the PCRM will remain only with the skeleton,” the AMN leader said. On Wednesday evening, the Liberal-Democratic coalition came together for a meeting to discuss technical and legal aspects of the parliamentary procedure for modifying the Constitution of Moldova. Marian Lupu said the final decision will be announced later.
