A meeting of the Council of the Alliance for European Integration (AEI) will most probably take place in the evening of November 1, the head of the Democratic Party Marian Lupu said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
“The election of the head of state will be the main subject for discussion. We will speak about the methods and solutions that must be identified as the effects will be very unpleasant if the President is not elected and there will be held early legislative elections,” said Marian Lupu.
The Democratic leader stated that the political crisis must be overcome. “We need political stability for a period of three years so as to fulfill the promises we made,” he said.
According to Marian Lupu, the PDM negotiated separately with the PCRM, but there should be held an extensive discussion so that the parties do not run after each other. “The discussions should take place in conditions of maximum transparency so that somebody does not say that they declared something, but were not understood,” he said.
The last meeting of the AEI Council was held last week.
