AEI Council comes together for meeting

A meeting of the Council of the Alliance for European Integration (AEI) will take place today, May 22. The leaders of the ruling alliance had a meeting yesterday evening as well. According to the chairman of the Democratic Party Marian Lupu, the meetings will continue until the May 24 sitting of Parliament, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a televised program, Marian Lupu said that the leaders of the AEI will come together for several times and try to reach a compromise as regards the adoption of the Law on Equal Opportunities. He also said that his party agrees with the new version of the given law and the Democratic MPs will vote for it. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, the deputy chairman of the Liberal Party Ion Hadarca said that he can say nothing yet about the May 22 meeting of the AEI Council because the presidency is held by the Democratic Party.
