Specialists recommend the parents to educate the twins according to the individual character of each child, even if they are similar by appearance. The education of twins was the subject of a workshop staged by the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport at Nursery School No. 225 in Ciocana. It involved over 70 parents, IPN reports.

Elena Busilo, senior specialist at the Division, said that this is the tenth workshop of the kind, held within the national personal development project “Family”, whose goal is to help the young generation have a clear perception of the family. “We aimed to support the parents with twins. In each institution in Chisinau, we have by 13-14 pairs of twins and we conducted a poll to see what questions the parents have as regards the facilitation of the education and growth of twins,” she stated.

Most of the questions referred to the benefit of the separation of twins at the nursery school and then. Director of Nursery School No. 225 Ala Vasilache said she noticed that the twins are always different in terms of character and temperament. She recommended the parents to communities more with the children, to offer them the same love and never to compare them. The children must feel equal and the parents must treat them equally.

One of the parents said that their twin boys aged three are very different and are always in competition in writing, drawing and in sport. The psychologist told them to make sure that this competition is not detrimental to the children and to help them both persevere. Another woman said that one of their twin boys does not allow the other to express his own opinion and to act individually and she thus thought to separate them at the nursery and then at school.

Psychologist Natalia Oster said that any problem in the family should be solved by communication so as to take the correct steps and not to affect the children’s individuality.
