Adrian Albu is PSRM’s candidate for mayor of Chisinau

MP Adrian Albu is the Party of Socialists’ candidate for mayor general of the municipality of Chisinau. The announcement was made by the party’s executive secretary Igor Dodon, IPN reports.

Igor Dodon said Adrian Albu held the post of secretary general of Parliament and currently sits in Parliament as a member of the group of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists. “He is a person with considerable managerial experience. I want to inform the residents of Chisinau that Mister Albu is a jurist by profession and is the father of three. We are firmly convinced that he can and will do his best for Chisinau to write a golden page in the development of the capital city,” the politician told a news conference.

For his part, Adrian Albu said he will focus on the inclusion and involvement of all the citizens in the life of the municipality of Chisinau. “We consider the Socialists’ team is the strongest one, which showed for multiple times that it does what it says. We every time had palpable results,” stated Adrian Albu.

Fiver parties have presented their candidates for mayor general of the municipality of Chisinau so far. The Party of Action and Solidarity fielded MP Lilian Carp, PAS deputy chairman; the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” – ex-deputy mayor of Chisinau Victor Chironda; the Coalition for Unity and Welfare – the head of the party’s Youth Organization Ion Bulgac, the Liberal Party – deputy chairman Ion Purice, while the European Social Democratic party – the former head of Buiucani district Vadim Brînzaniuc.
