The Moldovan high school graduates can apply for the 190 places with scholarship (€65) provided by the Balti branch of the Iasi-based University “Alexandru Ioan Cuza”, which is housed by the Balti University “Alecu Russo”. The applications can be filed between September 6-10. The lectures start on October 1, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communique from the university, 110 places are available at the Faculty of Trade Economy, Tourism and Services, while the other 80 – at the Technological Physics Faculty. The applications must be accompanied by validated copies of the Baccalaureate diploma, birth certificate, marriage certificate when necessary, health certificate, identity card and photographs. According to the dean of the Physics Faculty Dumitru Luca, it is a great advantage for the Moldovan students to be able to obtain a EU diploma. “We hope this is a powerful argument that will motivate the high school students to apply to the Balti branch of “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University,” he said. The diplomas issued by the Balti branch will be recognized in the EU. After graduation, the Moldovan young people will be able to study for the Master's Degree in Romania or in other EU member states. The Balti branch of the Iasi-based University “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” has been founded this year under a cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Eduction, Research, Youth and Sport of Romania and the Ministry of Education of Moldova.
