The Association for Participatory Democracy (ADEPT), which is a constituent member of the Civic Coalition for Free and Fair Elections, has launched a website devoted to the October 30, 2016 presidential elections. www.alegeri.md will be updated with information about the elections, which will be available in Romanian, Russian and English, IPN reports.
In a press release, ADEPT says that in particular, www.alegeri.md will contain biographical data about the candidates for the office of President of the Republic of Moldova, their income and property statements, electoral programs, financial reports, press releases and statements, electoral advertisements, etc.
Starting with September 1, the portal will daily present the most relevant electoral events in the Electoral Courier. There will be published the statements issued by the Central Election Commission, independent electoral process monitoring reports, civic education materials and other information useful for informing the public opinion and for monitoring and ensuring a correct electoral process.
By this project, ADEPT aims to contribute to holding free and fair presidential elections in the Republic of Moldova, by broadly and objectively informing the people about the electoral process.
