Additional remuneration for student employees

The Government approved yesterday the regulations regarding the provision of guarantees and compensations for salary earners who work and study. By this document, the State guarantees to these employees additional paid leaves.
According to Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade Sergiu Sainciuc, the leaves may be solicited for taking exams.
Such guarantees will be given only to those who have a mean mark not lower than 8 and who are attending their first education institution. The guarantees on the part of the state are intended for the employees who are studying at the higher education institution and secondary, vocational schools, attending evening classes and studying by correspondence.
For instance, the salary earners who are going to higher education institution and secondary schools will enjoy a reduced work time of 35 hours a week. The salary earners who must take exams of admission to such institutions benefit from an unpaid 15-day leave. They will enjoy additional paid leaves (up to 30 days, keeping 75% of the average salary at the basic workplace).
The employers will also have to cover once a year the expenses for return tours, by train or public transport, of the salary earners to the education institution they attend.
