Actual government is the most productive – poll

The current leadership of Moldova has the most productive activity, compared the previous ones, the respondents of a sociological survey assert. The survey is entitled “Moldova – 15 years of independence: achievements, challenges and aspirations”. Thus, according to the survey, 40% of the respondents consider that the incumbent president Vladimir Voronin is the best in fulfilling his duties of the head of state. The second is Mircea Snegur, Moldova’s first President – 14.6%. Petru Lucinschi was supported by 10%. 24% of the respondents think that none of the presidents fulfilled properly his duties. The Parliament led by Speaker Marian Lupu has the best activity, about 27% of the questioned persons assert. 8% believe that the most efficient parliament was the one led by Petru Lucinschi. The most inefficient parliament was the one having Dumitru Motpan as speaker – only 1.4% consider that its activity was the best. About 30% of the participants in the survey think that neither parliament acted efficiently. One fourth of the respondents considers that the actual government is more productive, being followed by the previous government, led by Dumitru Braghis. The most unproductive governments were those having Ion Ciubuc and Mircea Druc as prime ministers. 30% think that none of the governments was productive. The opinion poll have been organized by the Independent Sociology and Information Service “Opinia”, in partnership with the Mass Media Institute on a sample of 1153 persons. The maximum sampling error is 3%.
