The Cabinet approved the regulations for registering installers of biomass boilers, furnaces or stoves, solar photovoltaic and thermal systems, shallow geothermal systems and heat pumps. The installers can be qualified for one or several categories of renewable energy systems, IPN reports.
The consumers who will want to put in renewable energy systems will be able to choose a qualified installer from the Register.
To be put on the Register, the specialist will file an applicant and an own responsibility statement to conform the authenticity of the qualification documents. Under the regulations, the installers will be periodically trained and their activity will be monitored and checked.
By 2020, the Republic of Moldova aims to ensure 17% of the consumed energy is produced from renewable sources of energy.
