Outbreaks of swine fever are registered in Cotova locality, Drochia district, and in Sălcia village, Soldanesti district. Quarantine measures have been introduced and protection and surveillance zones have been established. Specialists are controlling wild reservoirs, controlling the movement of animals within the country and screening domestic pigs and wild boar populations.

In the village of Navirnet, Falesti district, an outbreak of rabies in a dog has been recorded, and in the village of Criuleni, Criuleni district, an outbreak of avian influenza in wildlife has been detected.

At the same time, the ANSA announces that the outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza has been successfully eradicated from a non-professional holding in Balauresti, Nisporeni district.

ANSA urges poultry keepers and breeders to keep backyard flocks indoors and, if they observe clinical signs of the disease, to immediately notify the veterinary staff in the region.
