Moldovan ad-interim President Marian Lupu on Thursday signed a decree to promulgate amendments to the Government Act, the Parliament's press service said in a release, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
Under the amendments, the Government's order of the day shall be approved on the proposal of the Government's Presidium and the decisions and ordinances shall be adopted with a majority of votes of the Government members.
The Government's Presidium is composed of the Prime Minister and his/her Deputies. The Presidium's meetings are convened by the Prime Minister and all the members must be present for quorum. When a Deputy is not able to be present, he/she shall delegate another member of the Government. The decisions of the Presidium shall be adopted through consensus.
Other amendments change the name of two Ministries: from the Ministry of Constructions and Regional Development to the Ministry of Regional Development and Constructions; and from the Ministry of Informational Technology and Communications to the Ministry of Information Technology and Communications.
The amendments were earlier approved by Parliament.
