At the beginning of the July 22 meeting of the interim Cabinet, Acting Prime Minister Natalia Gherman instructed the representatives of the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Health and other competent institutions to work together and provide the necessary assistance during dog days, IPN reports.
According to acting minister of the interior Oleg Balan, 16 tents providing shelter from the sun and water were put up in nine settlements of the country. These were visited by about 35,000 people so far. The rehabilitation points work on the dog days between 12 noon and 6pm.
Acting deputy minister of health Octavian Grama stated that all the medical institutions, including the sections of infectious diseases, are ready to cope with the high number of people who need emergency assistance in hot weather.
