The accounts of the Chisinau Electric Transport Company that were blocked at the start of this year remain inaccessible. The company’s head Gheorghe Morgoci Monday said that 9 million lei in penalties was added to the 15 million lei claimed by a Ukrainian firm as debts, Info-Prim Neo reports. “I consider this is a raider attack on the Electric Transport Company. Bailiff Chihai from Ialoveni presented an order, whereby 9 million lei is added as penalties to the 15 million lei,” said Gheorghe Morgoci. According to him, the courts in Kiev overturned the decisions based on which this order was issued. Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca read a letter that came from the Russian company “Vasu”, which took over the right to levy the debts claimed by the Ukrainian firm from the Electric Transport Company. The letter says that Gheorghe Morgoci is the godfather of the president of the Economic Court of Appeals Aureliu Kolenko. “Being the godfather of Mister Kolenko, are you Mister Morgogi unable to solve the problem with the Economic Court of Appeals?” the mayor asked ironically. Gheorghe Morgoci denied the information, saying it is spread with the aim of postponing solving the case. He stressed he saw Aureliu Kolenko at the hearing for the first time. In 2007, a Ukrainian firm claimed debts of over 15 million lei from the Chisinau Electric Transport Company. In 2011, a Kiev court annulled the debts and the Economic Court of Appeals in Chisinau was to take cognizance of this decision. But it didn’t and thus the accounts were blocked again early this year.
