Accountant sentenced to 12 years for embezzlement

The accountant of a company from Chisinau has been sentenced to 12 years being found guilty of embezzlement. She used fake documents to deprive a company of goods, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the general prosecutor's office. From 2005 to 2007, the accountant of Maestro-Nut SRL forged and used fake accounting documents and seized goods from this company in amount 895,000 lei, reads the release. According to the anti-corruption prosecutors, the accused was arrested in the court after the sentence was uttered. The sentence may still be appealed.
