A number of apartment buildings in Chisinau’s Centru district, in the area between Miorita and Schinoasei streets, remained without running water as a result of an accident. Overnight, the leakages turned into ice at the entrance to Codru commune.
In the January 27 meeting of officials of Chisinau subdivisions and services, technical director of SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” Vitalie Midari said the problem was fixed and all the end-users will be reconnected to the water supply by evening.
Vitalie Midari also said that a number of vehicles of the road maintenance company “Exdrupo” are removing the ice. The accident happened because of the low temperatures that caused a crack in a cast iron pipe.
