Employees of the Ciocana municipal housing services enterprise took away the metallic access stops that were illegally installed for reserving parking places in yards of apartment buildings in the district. IPN’s reporter observed the works to remove the stops in the yard of a residential complex situated on Profesor Ion Dumeniuk St.
The order made by the deputy head of Ciocana district Elena Triboi says the measure was ordered following the examination of complaints from dwellers, in accordance with a number of normative documents. The order covers the streets Profesor Ion Dumeniuk, Petru Zadnipru, Alecu Russo and Mihail Sadoveanu. The Ciocana municipal housing services enterprise will later present the expenditure estimate to the district head’s office for being settled.
Under the legislation, the dwellers of the blocks where metallic access stops for reserving parking places were set up can challenge the order within 30 days of the communication of the order.
Valeriu Nani, the head of the association of dwellers of the block located on Prof. Ion Dumeniuk St, said the given block was included in the order illegally as this is not a public lot, but is a lot transmitted to the association for which all the dwellers pay an annual land tax. Also, the parking places were laid out with the assistance of dwellers, who invested money. The district head’s office didn’t warn the owners of metallic devices about the planned measure 15 days beforehand so that they could challenge the order.
