SA “Apă-Canal Chisinau”(ACC)  last week inspected 180 consumption places in Centru district of Chisinau, in the perimeter of the streets Miorița, Colina Verde and Mărțișor and Molocanilor bystreet. As a result of the unplanned inspections, there were identified five illegal connections to the public water supply system and 11 illegal connections to the sewerage system, IPN reports.

Consequently, ACC will increase the number of inspections at private individuals and legal entities so as to detect related illegalities. “The water thefts endanger the whole process of supplying water to consumers. The owners of those houses will be obliged to pay for the illegally consumed water and a fine. To further benefit from water supply and sewerage services, they will have to pay the costs associated with the disconnection and connection to the public water supply and sewerage system, to draw up a project and to file an application to be reconnected to the water supplier,” the company noted in a press release.

ACC urges the consumers to inform the representatives of the company about the illegal connections to the public water supply and sewerage system on 022-256-980 or through the email address acc@acc.md.
