ACC calls on housing stock managers to protect branch pipes from frost

Apa-Canal Chisinau urges the housing stock managers to protect the branch pipes and apartment buildings’ basements from frost by insulating the access ways to the internal sewer and water pipes, Info-Prim Neo reports. In order to avoid accidents, the branch pipes and water meters are insulated with special material. The access lid must be closed hermetically. The housings stock mangers are obliged to preserve this property, especially now when temperatures of minus 24 degrees Celsius are expected. If these measures are not respected, the pipes may ice up, particularly at night, Apa-Canal Chisinau warns in a communiqué. Twenty-seven branch pipes froze over at private houses last week.
