The administration of the water supplier Apă-Canal-Chisinau (ACC) received complaints about the unpleasant smell emitted at the wastewater treatment station, the company’s acting director Anatolie Lichii stated following a press report about the unpleasant smell coming from the station. The issue was discussed in the May 11 meeting of officials of Chisinau services and divisions, IPN reports.
Anatolie Lichii noted the journalists have access to the wastewater treatment station, but they need to be instructed before paying a visit to the station as this is under construction and poses threats. A visit to the station will be organized the next few weeks to inspect the area and present the situation on the spot. The media will be invited.
The director also said that Apă-Canal-Chisinau performed excavation works and launched the tender contest to choose the contractor that will repair the roads following these works. Bids could be submitted in ten days. As regards the situation at the wastewater treatment station, ACC continued to organize surprise inspections and in the course of the day will publish information about the inspected business entities.
