Reveille from the Dniester to across the English Channel

Over 52 thousand Romanian citizens from the Republic of Moldova voted in the runoff presidential elections in Romania, which is about ten thousand more than in the first round held two weeks ago. On Sunday, November 24, Klaus Iohannis has won a second term as President of Romania, accumulating over 63% of votes. President Igor Dodon addressed a congratulatory message to his Romanian counterpart, Klaus Iohannis. "The Romanians also made an important choice for the Republic of Moldova."

What wonderful news!

In the Great National Assembly Square/PMAN, the Christmas tree installation has started. In the coming days, the metal housing and branches will be installed and the tree will be decorated with ornaments and lighting, so that it is ready for inauguration on December 1st.

There’s nothing new under the sun

After six years of trial, the members of the panel of judges have changed, thus the court trial in which the public association "Moldova mea" was involved has been started from scratch. Fiodor Ghelici has reminded that the association is accused of human trafficking and children trafficking. He said that tensions started in February 2013, when the association notified the public about the "looting of Banca de Economii". According to Fiodor Ghelici, "no politician has addressed the issue of the theft because many of them were involved in it."

Good roads - 3, featuring new stars

The government intends to build and repair 1400 kilometers of national roads, with investments estimated at 1 billion 400 million euros. Prime minister Ion Chicu has said that in the next period the Government will focus on completing the road works that have been started. The total length of these roads is of 426 km and the overall cost constitutes 319 million euros.
