“Union” and Unity not going hand in hand

After the Party of Socialists’ candidate Ștefan Gațcan won the new parliamentary elections in constituency No. 38 Hâncești with 5,539 votes, IPN notes that in other political circumstances, the order would have been slightly different: The first place would have been won by 6,692 votes: 4,554 votes (PAS candidate) + 1,792 votes (Grigore Cobzac, independent) + 346 votes (Dorin Chirtoacă, candidate of UNION Electoral Bloc). The difference between the first and second places is of 1,153 votes.
