About 97% of the dwellings were visited by census takers during this year’s census. Thus, the census covered 1,225,521 homes. There were also recorded 21,279 refusals to take part in the census, the National Bureau of Statistics has said.
According to the Bureau, an inspection is now carried out to determine the coverage and content errors. Within it, a representative sample of the population will be again questioned to compare the data collected within the census from the same sample.
The inspection will cover approximately 0.8% of the about 90 census sectors. There will be counted all the buildings, homes and persons from the selected sectors. The census period is June16 – 29.
The preliminary census results will be made public in December.
