Owing to the snowy roads and the lack of electricity, the work of a number of education institutions was disrupted and almost 900 children could not get to classes, IPN reports, quoting the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research.
Three schools in the districts of Sângerei and Telenești stopped work owing to the interruption in the power supply. The snowy roads caused 16 school transport routes in the districts of Călărași, Florești, Nisporeni, Orhei, Sângerei, Soroca, Telenești and Ungheni to be suspended.
The lack of electricity also forced six education institutions in the districts of Călărași, Sângerei and Telenești to reduce their program.
