Approximately 4,000 police officers will be on duty on October 30. They will ensure conditions for keeping the electoral materials and will maintain public order at polling places. They will also document and report cases of violations of the electoral legislation within 100 meters of the polling station. On the election day and on the day before this day, measures will be taken to prevent campaigning and placement of electoral posters, IPN reports.

The General Police Inspectorate recommends the people to behave appropriately during elections, to avoid drinking alcohol and becoming involved in conflicts, regardless of the political preferences or affiliation.

The voters cannot take the ballot out of the polling place or refuse to obey the orders of the head of the polling station’s electoral office concerning maintaining of order in the polling place and nearby.

If the voters are prevented from exercising their electoral right or are banned access to the polling place, these should inform the police. The police should be also contacted when a case of electoral propaganda dissemination on the election day and the previous day is witnessed.
