About 4,000 handicapped persons to receive aid on International Day of Disabled People

About 4,000 handicapped persons in Chisinau will receive by 400 lei each on the part of the municipal population’s support Fund. The donation will be made on the occasion of the International Day of Disabled People, which is annually observed on December 3. The information was made public by the Fund’s head Mihai Sorochin during the City Hall’s session held on Monday November 27, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to Sorochin, the aid will be distributed only to invalids that did not benefit this year from financial support on the part of the Fund and that have a monthly pension below 400 lei. At the same time, all invalid children from Chisinau municipality will benefit from the aid. The lists were legalized by the municipal social assistance Division, and those related to children - by the National House of Social Insurances. The Fund will allot about 1 mil. 600 thousand lei to financially support invalids. Two thousand adult invalids and 1923 handicapped children will benefit from the aid. As many as 23,000 invalids are registered in Chisinau municipality.
