Employees of the General Public Amenities Division during the past few days have cleaned snow from sidewalks, in stations and in yards of apartment buildings and spread antiskid materials.
The head of the Division’s Cleanup Section Vasile Efros has told IPN that the works started on January 6 and by 35 utility vehicles with angle broom and snow blade on average intervened each day. About 20 tonnes of antiskid materials have been dispersed during the past two days.
About 200 workers daily cleaned snow from sidewalks and access ways to yards of apartment buildings and in public transport stations.
The housing sector managers are urged to continue the snow removal process as the snow can turn into ice if no prompt action is taken. The business entities are also requested to remove snow from the buildings they own or manage.
