Approximately 200 short-term observers of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) today are monitoring the elections all over Moldova. “For us, as a mission, it is very important to oversee not only election day, but also the developments in the pre-election period, during the process, before the elections and after the elections,” said the Head of the ODIHR Election Observation Mission Corien Jonker, noting that all the conclusions over election day will be made public in a news conference on Monday, IPN reports.

“For us, it is very important at the moment not to offer any comment, any conclusion as we want to analyze what will happen during the day and will later draw a conclusion so that we could provide a general picture, not only the pieces of information that are now available. If we offer comments, we can intervene in the election process, but we don’t want to do this. We don’t want to intervene in the election process today somehow,” stated Corien Jonker.

The news conference could be followed with physical presence or online, through Zoom.
