In the course of January, the specialists of “Apa-Canal Chisinau” took approximately 16,000 samples of water from the municipal water supply system and performed over 30,000 physical-chemical and bacteriological examinations, IPN reports.
In a press release, the supplier said samples are daily taken before the water is pumped into the centralized water supply system of Chisinau municipality in order to determine over 25 physical-chemical and bacteriological parameters. The tests are performed at the Nistru Water Station lab and the drinking water lab. A number of 37 validated analytical methods are used to establish the sanitary-hygienic indicators.
The quality of water in the treatment process and in the public drinking water supply system is monitored monthly at all the parameters indicated in the existing regulations and in accordance with the schedules approved by the Chisinau Public Health Center.
SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” calls on the consumers to inform about irregularities identified in the centralized water supply and sewerage system by indicating the contact data so that the necessary measures could be taken.
