Approximately 150 runners from Moldova, Romania and the U.S. will take part in the EcoRun competition that will be staged in the Sovereignty Square in the center of Hancesti town on May 5, starting at 9:30am, IPN reports.
According to the organizers, the athletes will compete in two events: 10 km and 20 km. The competition is organized in concert with the Hancesti mayor’s office on the occasion of the 518th anniversary of the foundation of the town.
The participants will run by the Central Cathedral, the historical-architectural complex Manuc Bei, the Codrii forest near Hancesti town, the lake in the central park and other tourist attractions situated in the area.
