Approximately 130 access ways to kindergartens and schools in Chisinau will be repaired next year. These are the access ways to over 40% of the total number of educational institutions in the capital city. According to the municipality, these were chosen by a municipal commission taking into account the wear degree of the infrastructure that ensures access to educational institutions, IPN reports.
Mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban said the works include the rehabilitation of sidewalks, replacement of curbs and asphalting of the roadway. The value of the contract is 91.5 million lei. The contract for the execution of works was won by SRL “Vicoliv Grup” at a public tender contest.
Works are now performed in Râșcani and Botanica districts, on the access ways to Secondary School No. 8 “Taras Shevchenko” located at 26 Miron Costin St and the College of Plastic Arts “A. Plămădeală”/”Prodictu” Lyceum situated at 1 Independenței St.
The works were completed at kindergarten No. 98 from 152 Cetatea Albă St, at kindergarten No. 3 from 36/2 Ion Pelivan St, at Theoretical Lyceum “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” from 44 Poștei St.
“I remind that a number of access ways to educational institutions were repaired this year by the municipal road maintenance company “Exdrupo”, while at other institutions the works were executed as part of projects to repair access ways and sidewalks to blocks in the districts of the capital city,” said the mayor.
The works are carried out in accordance with the relevant repair plan for 2021-2023.
