About 10,000 civil servants will plant trees on greening day

Approximately 10,000 functionaries will be engaged in tree planting on April 4 as part of the national greening day themed “A Tree for Our Eternity”, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources says in a communiqué quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Around 300,000 trees will be planted on April 4. It is planned that the wooded areas will be extended by 346 hectares, while the protection forest strips by 94.84 hectares. The forests will be regenerated on an area of 460 hectares. Most of the saplings will be planted in Chisinau (121,000) and the districts of Floresti (39,000), Falesti (37,000) and Briceni (31,000). Only by 5,000 young trees will be planted in Cimislia and Taraclia districts.
